What is the Destination Australia scholarship?
The Destination Australia Program (DAP) is an Australian Government program that funds eligible tertiary education providers to offer scholarships to domestic and international students to study in regional Australia. Destination Australia scholarships are available to students studying courses ranging from a Certificate IV through to a doctorate (such as a PhD) for up to four years in regional campus locations across Australia. This means any location outside of major cities in Australia.

Eligibility requirements
You’ll need to apply for a scholarship directly with one of the education providers under the Destination Australia Program.
To be qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be an international student with a valid student visa, or an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Be enrolled in or accept an offer of a full-time course of study at an eligible tertiary education provider
- Live in a regional area at the start of and during the study period
- Meet the academic and English language proficiency requirements of the education institute
How to apply for a Destination Australia scholarship
The application process varies depending on the tertiary education provider. You will need to confirm with your preferred institute for details on the application.
In general, you will be required to provide:
- Personal information, such as your name, address, and contact details
- Academic qualifications and certificates
- Evidence of your English language proficiency
